Abstract

Freedom is a value that has enjoyed great symbolic prestige throughout history and is, in turn, a highly complex construct that has been debated between deterministic, indeterministic and intermediate positions, giving rise to nebulous issues that, if not examined with caution, can lead to countless uncertainties, misunderstandings and transgressions: am I free not to take responsibility? Can freedom end up being such an uncomfortable problem for someone that they shy away from it, and am I not free if I choose to live under the submission or control of another? What role do relativism, chance, imperfectibility, subjectivity, necessity and ignorance play in the very nature of freedom? Is there no place to be free in a world commanded by biological, social, cultural, political, economic, linguistic, technological, educational, legal, geographical, physical, historical, moral, etc. factors? To what extent have millions of human beings been deprived of their bodies, conscious and unconscious of their slavery? What are the implications of the freedoms of teaching, of worship, of expression... in their ethical behavior? How free am I?...? And other problems that the reader has encountered in the uneven postural geography presented by the phenomenon of freedom, trying to find some clear ones that will allow him to contribute to its understanding. Therefore, it is a profuse, intricate and multidimensional reality that presupposed a critical prism that congregates several reflective glances in a logic of synthesis and complexity, thus configuring this discursive structure in a journey that hopes to promote other levels of depth and routes of exploration.

Héctor de León Bedoya Leguizamón

Nació en Villavicencio. Licenciado en Educación física y deportes de la Universidad de los Llanos. Docente de esta misma alma máter en áreas de la pedagogía. Dirige el grupo de investigación Praxis Complexus. Máster en educación. Actualmente adelanta estudios de doctorado en pensamiento complejo.
